The ASUS A55VM series Instant Key function allows you to customize the Instant Key shortcut key in the upper left corner through the ASUS exclusive Instant Key Menu program. After the setting is completed, you only need to press the Instant Key lightly to realize one-click Internet access, one-click audio and video and other cool functions. The following is a brief introduction to how to use Instant Key:

　1. When using the Instant Key function You first need to install the ASUS InstantKey Utility driver. The same ATKACPI driver and ATK hotkey tool program are also essential.

2. When using Instant Key for the first time, you need to set the Instant Key binding. Functions, Instant Key can only be bound to one function at a time. At this stage, the optional functions are the 10 functions included in the Instant Key Menu program. When setting up for the first time, just tap the Instant Key once and the welcome interface will appear. After that, it will appear again every time. When setting the Instant Key, you need to press and hold the Instant Key for more than 3 seconds.

3. Click Confirm on the welcome interface to enter the setting interface. Select the functions you want to bind under the Instant Key Menu setting interface. Functions, such as the "Instant Program" function.

5. The same Instant Key can also be set to open the bound web page function with one click. Click the "Instant Internet" function in the function bar below the Instant Key Menu, and then also click on the right icon, manually enter the URL that needs to be bound, such as: http://www.asus.com.cn, set in the Instant Key Menu Click "Apply" or "OK" on the interface, and then just press the Instant Key to open the homepage of the ASUS official website.

6. The “countdown timer” in Instant Key is also a more practical function. You can set the machine to shut down, sleep and hibernate at a scheduled time. The setting method is also to first select "Countdown Timer" under the Instant Key Menu and click icon, select the function you want the machine to implement, shut down, sleep or hibernate, manually select the time to be set and confirm.

7. Select "Apply" or "Confirm" in the Instant Key Menu, and then the Instant Key becomes a timer switch. When the "Countdown Timer" function is used, a prompt will appear in the lower right corner of the screen.

Instant Key Menu also includes "Volume Fade", which can set Instant Key to control the sound fade in/out or mute. "Beautiful Technology" can set Instant Key to be equivalent to Fn+C, "Video Mag"ic" can set the Instant Key to open the ASUS Video Magic program with one click, "Touchpad lock" can set the Instant Key to be equivalent to Fn+F9, "External monitor selection" can set the Instant Key to be equivalent to Fn+F8, "Wireless connection" "You can set the Instant Key to be equivalent to Fn+F2, and "Media Control" can set the Instant Key to open the ASUS DVD program with one click.
