The detection method of short battery life of ThinkPad products is as follows:
If the ThinkPad is equipped with a pre-installed system:< /strong>
1. There will be power and battery icons in the lower right corner of the system toolbar. Click the left button on the battery icon and a dialog box will pop up. Select to start the power manager.
2. Or in the system status, go to Start->All Programs->ThinkVantage->PowerManager.
3. The power management program will be started.
Note: When starting the "Power Manager" utility, you can see the following three tabs. For information about what each tab does, click on each of the following topics:
a) Power Scheme option: You can select or create a power supply that is optimal for the situation in which you are using your ThinkPad computer plan.
b) "Global Power Settings" option: Contains other applied settings in addition to the active power scheme settings. In this section you can choose to: emit a system beep when the power state changes, set a password requirement for resuming the computer from standby, and enable hibernation. By clicking the Advanced... button, you can configure additional options to save computer power.
c) "Battery Information" option: Provides a detailed summary of the battery installed in the ThinkPad computer.
4. Select the "Battery Information" option in power management and you will see the battery status.
Note:
1) If the battery status on the right side shows "red and poor", it means that the battery has been damaged and needs to be replaced.
2) If the battery status on the right side shows "yellow and normal", it means that the battery status is not very good, between poor and good, and the battery needs to be replaced.
3) If the battery status on the right side displays "Green and Good", it means the battery is in good condition.Under normal circumstances, there is no need to replace it. If the battery's standby time is really short (standby is only 30 minutes), the battery can be replaced.
5. If the battery status is green and good, how to detect the battery usage time:
1) Unplug the AC power supply and use the battery power supply alone. The remaining battery power and usage time can be displayed in the battery information.
2) Unplug the AC power supply and use the battery alone for power supply. Move the mouse to the battery icon on the toolbar, and the power and usage time of the battery alone will also be displayed.
